Martin calls on ministers to solve Vita Cortex row
Mr Martin made his comments ahead of the resumption of the Dáil tomorrow and as the Labour Relations Commission (LRC) said it was “ready and willing... if requested” to work with both sides to help end the sit-in at the Cork foam factory.
But Mr Martin, who visited the plant yesterday, said he felt any possible intervention of the LRC would not be enough for the 32 workers, who have a combined 840 years’ service to the company, to secure their 2.9 weeks’ redundancy pay.
