Mass Vita Cortex Dáil rally planned

AS the sit-in by former Vita Cortex employees in Cork enters its 25th day today, details have been finalised of a mass rally in support of the protesters which is due to take place at 1pm in Dublin on Thursday.

Hundreds of members of the public, as well as activists and members of various trade unions and political organisations are expected to attend the protest outside the Dáil.

According to SIPTU organiser, Ann Egar, two buses will bring the 32 former workers and their supporters to Dublin from the plant in Ballyphehane where they have been staging a sit-in since December 16.
