Bord Gáis cuts off 85 customers every week
The company says it has a “very clear policy” that it “will not disconnect any customer who agrees to and maintains a repayment plan or takes a pay as you go meter”. However, it says that “as a business we have to be paid for our services”.
Latest figures from Bord Gáis show about 8% or 75,000 of its approximately one million gas and electricity customers were in arrears of €100 or more at the end of November.
