Motorists urged to be cautious as frost and ice take hold

ICY conditions over the weekend are likely to make driving hazardous in many areas.

Met Éireann has warned that it will be very frosty again today, with occasional wintry showers still occurring over the north and west of the country.

A widespread sharp ground frost will set in tonight and ice will form on untreated surfaces.
