Mayor has ‘nothing to hide’ over China trip

THE Lord Mayor of Cork has defended the spending of public money on a nine-day mission to China to attract high-spending Chinese tourists.

The costs involved are miniscule and there will be a huge return for Cork, said Fianna Fáil councillor Terry Shannon.

He was responding yesterday following criticism from Sinn Féin councillor Chris O’Leary.
