Priests hope to hit high note

SEVEN singing priests from the Diocese of Limerick are about to serve up a special celebration, with a Christmas CD and a concert later this month.

The seven priests, including diocesan administrator, Fr Tony Mullins, have collaborated with five young lay musicians and narrator Fr Frank O’Connor on both the CD project and a special performance that will bring it to life at St John’s Cathedral on Friday, December 16.

Both the CD and concert will chart in word and song the journey of Christmas, right from the announcement by the angel Gabriel to Mary that she would give birth to the son of God through to the visit of the Wise Men.
