THE controversial national internship scheme JobBridge has finally created a few jobs — just not for the unemployed.

Consultants to review intern ‘job’ scheme

A year-long contract is being offered to consultants to evaluate the effectiveness of the scheme set up to give jobseekers real-life work experience with a €50 top-up on their weekly dole payment.

The Department of Social Protection would not reveal at this stage the likely cost of the evaluation project but the tender documents suggest applicants can budget for several salaries as it states they must provide a “dedicated project manager and project team personnel”.
