Garda probe after funfair death

GARDAÍ are investigating if there were any safety or machine faults which may have resulted in the death of a 31-year-old woman on a fairground ride.

Siobhán Healy, from Co Roscommon, suffered fatal head injuries when she fell from an amusement ride near the O2 arena at about 11.20pm on Monday.

Gardaí said there was nothing to suggest that the torrential rain and flooding played any part in her death.
