Warning over burns to children at Halloween
Last October weekend, more than 1,200 children suffering burns and scalds visited the emergency department at Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin — one third of all emergency cases admitted at that time. Most of the children were between the ages of one and five.
Professor Alf Nicholson, consultant paediatrician and professor of paediatrics at Temple Street, urges caution among parents ahead of the Halloween festivities.
