NURSES at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick have accused management of intransigence on patient safety and warned more strike action is likely.

Representatives from the Irish Nurses and Midwives organisation and SIPTU are to meet at midday today to discuss what further action should be taken.

Talks between the INMO, SIPTU and the Health Service Executive, facilitated by the Labour Relations Commission, broke down after 11 hours on Wednesday.
