NURSES say their concerns have been clearly addressed in a Department of Health report on conditions in Limerick’s Mid-Western Regional Hospital.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation and SIPTU were issued with performance diagnostic recommendations from the department’s Special Delivery Unit when attending the Labour Relations Commission’s conciliation conference yesterday.

The talks are being held to find a resolution to the dispute that nurses say came about as a result of dangerous overcrowding and a lack of resources at the hospital.
