Indian summer fails to register in the south-west

TO rephrase a famous tune, the weather in Cork and Kerry is frightful, but everywhere else it’s so delightful.

And unfortunately with no particular place to go, knowing our luck it may snow, it may snow, it may snow (well, not quite).

Despite the summer finally arriving for the vast majority of the country this week, the south-west of Ireland — usually renowned for its warmer temperatures — has been basking in a blaze of ... cloud.
