Kenny refuses to criticise McGuinness bid for Áras

TAOISEACH Enda Kenny has refused to criticise the entry of Martin McGuinness in the presidential race despite several of his ministers rounding on the Sinn Féin candidate.

Mr Kenny said he would not comment on any of the candidates except his party’s, Gay Mitchell.

Speaking at the lodging of Mr Mitchell’s nomination papers in Dublin, Mr Kenny denied suggestions the MEP was not receiving the support of his party.
