Mother of five jailed for thefts

A SOUTH African mother of five was jailed for five months for shoplifting yesterday.

Rose Dudumashe, aged 34, of Cherrywood Heights, Midleton, Co Cork, pleaded guilty at Cork District Court to three counts of theft on January 24, when she stole goods worth over €500.

Inspector Bill Duane said the defendant had three previous theft convictions — one from last year and two from 2003.
