WORKPLACES have had to reduce or scrap diversity training due to the impact of the recession, a report has found.

The Immigrant Council of Ireland carried out the study of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and found that employers have less money and time to dedicate to diversity training, despite the high number of foreign nationals still working in the economy.

The report shows that SMEs here are still more tolerant and diverse workplaces than in Greece, which has seen a hardening of attitudes towards migrant workers.
