THE pay gap between men and women has increased “marginally”, while education remains the highest-paid sector, according to latest figures.

According to the National Employment Survey for 2008 and 2009, the difference in average wage has increased since 2007.

Women are now getting paid almost 13% less then their male counterparts. The gender gap had dropped to a record low of 10.7% in October 2007 but this increased slightly over the following two years.
