Gerry Kelly, 61, from Tulla, Co Clare, was last seen on Tuesday, August 8. However, there was a further unconfirmed sighting in the Tulla area last Friday. People from Tulla joined rescue teams in the area around the Cliffs of Moher in west Clare over the past two days after the missing man’s car was discovered in a nearby car park on Monday.

Mr Kelly, who is single, does not have his mobile phone, making it impossible for gardaí to track his movements electronically.

The retired member of the Irish Defence Forces, is described as being 5 feet 5 inches with short brown hair, a round face and a ruddy complexion.

Gardaí have asked anyone with information to contact either Killaloe station at 061-620540 or Ennistymon station at 065-7072180.
