Controlled blast

AN ARMY bomb disposal team made safe a quantity of an unstable chemical at Ashbourne Community College, Co Meath, yesterday morning.

The chemical had been found during a routine audit of chemicals in the school laboratory and the team carried out a controlled explosion.
