DETECTIVES investigating dissident republicans have arrested two men.

The pair were detained after the seizure of firearms and ammunition in a house raid in Dublin.

They are aged in their 40s and 20s. A Garda spokesman said: “As part of a planned operation, detectives from the special detective unit carried out a search of a house in the south inner-city area of Dublin.
