Man hit by vehicle found dead on road by relatives

A HUNT is on for the driver whose vehicle killed a young man and left his body lying on the roadside for relatives to discover.

Fintan Traynor, 20, was found by his uncle, Enda Traynor, who was out for an early morning walk along a narrow road at Lemgare, Clontibret, Co Monaghan, near the border with Armagh.

The victim appeared to have been struck by a heavy vehicle which drove away from the scene.
