Reilly to get report on children’s hospital site next week

A REPORT examining whether the proposed €650 million children’s hospital should be moved from the Mater site is to be given to Health Minister James Reilly next week.

The Fine Gael Cabinet member commissioned the detailed review on May 12, after initially stalling any further work on the Mater project after he came into office on the grounds that the site may not be suitable.

The upcoming report is specifically examining cost, location and best patient care issues relating to the project.
