SHEEHAN Medical Ltd, the developers of a failed €90 million private hospital, are planning to voluntarily liquidate the company.

A spokesperson for the company said this was its intention as soon as the liquidation of a second company set up to run the hospital — Cork Medical Centre (CMC) Medical Operations Ltd — is complete.

Sheehan Medical Ltd are the backers of CMC which closed in March less than six months after it opened.
