DPP to get file on knife attack

GARDAÍ investigating the weekend knife attack on four young men, one of whom had to undergo emergency surgery, are to send a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Officers examining the case have confirmed they are still speaking to eight people who are involved in the incident as witnesses.

This includes the person who allegedly knifed the four individuals, and the young man who is still being treated at Cork University Hospital.

Gardaí have asked anyone with information about the attack, which occurred in the Hollyhill Lane area of Knocknaheeny in Cork city on Sunday to contact them at Gurranabraher Garda Station on 021-494 6200 or 1800 666 111.
