Technology takes window shopping to a new level

SHOPPERS in Ireland could soon be able to try on the latest fashions just by walking past a store’s window.

Scientists are taking window shopping to a whole new level by creating a “personal mannequin”, which will allow passers-by to see how they would look when dressed from clothing inside the shop.

It means that shoppers who dread the prospect of spending hours in cramped changing rooms in high street stores won’t even have to step off the pavement in future, as they will appear on virtual catwalks.
