TV3 takes RTÉ to High Court in row over €10m transmission fees

TV3 is suing RTÉ for €10m in a row over transmission fees it paid to the state broadcaster over a 10-year period.

TV3 is seeking the repayment of the money it paid to broadcast on the RTÉ network between 1998 and 2008 and has taken the matter to the High Court.

TV3’s case is that the fees it was charged — understood to be in the region of €2.5m annually — were higher than the amount charged to TG4.
