THE first-year class of 2013 could be the first group of students to undertake a completely revised Junior Certificate.

Education Minister Ruairi Quinn is hopeful that the changes being finalised by the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) for his consideration can be rolled out in a little over two years.

While he previously said he wanted changes in place from September 2012, that timeframe now looks too ambitious as a full year lead-in time may be needed.
