SCIENTISTS have developed a new male infertility test that saves time, money and heartache for couples.

The breakthrough made at Queen’s University Belfast means couples can be fast-tracked to treatments most likely to succeed, sparing them the heartache of having their hopes dashed again and again.

The highly sensitive test called SpermComet measures damaged DNA in individual sperm and can predict the success of infertility treatments.
