TALKS aimed at preventing a major airline crisis which could leave 30,000 people stranded daily from next Tuesday are to resume this afternoon after no concrete progress was made.

Aer Lingus and the IMPACT trade union have confirmed that no agreement was reached at the latest Labour Relations Commission (LRC) meeting between the two parties over pilot workloads last night.

While both sides insist there have been “constructive negotiations” the prospect of pilots taking action from the start of next week remains a distinct possibility.
