THE Taoiseach has denied suggestions that Ireland could be forced to seek a second emergency bailout.

However, Mr Kenny’s assurances came as the Central Bank governor, Patrick Honohan, declined to say when the country would be able to borrow normally again.

Suggestions by Transport Minister Leo Varadkar that Ireland might be unable to return to the markets next year and may, as a result, need further loans, moved Mr Kenny and his Finance Minister, Michael Noonan, to issue denials yesterday.
