Boyle under fire for Strauss-Kahn tweet

FORMER Green Party Senator Dan Boyle came under fire last night for saying $3,000 for a hotel room “isn’t all that far behind” the alleged sexual assault of a maid by IMF boss Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

The party chairman wrote on his Twitter account: “Strauss-Kahn sexual assault allegations are of course of the utmost seriousness, but paying $3,000 for a hotel room isn’t all that far behind.”

Mr Boyle was inundated with comments.
