‘At least things aren’t Dickens bad just yet’

“IT WAS the best of times, it was the worst of times….” I am starting with that quote to remind myself and readers that even though things are bad at least they aren’t Dickens bad just yet. Even so, what exactly has the Government promised the unemployed?

A bigger minimum wage sounds like a bit of a paradox, and €30 million for school building and improvement programmes means that if they only hire interns and workers paid the bigger minimum wage they might build and/or improve approximately 8.2 schools.

Of most interest to me as a recent graduate is the promise of more training and internship places.
