Galway’s educational institutes sign up to partnership

NUI Galway and Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) have announced a partnership that will allow for collaboration across a number of areas.

The agreement signed in GMIT yesterday will allow for collaborative opportunities in teaching and learning, research, entrepreneurship, regional development, commercialisation, innovation, distance education, and work-based learning. GMIT and NUIG will devise a joint teaching, learning and assessment strategy to provide programmes that focus on the needs of students and the workplace.
