Balloons’ royal flight to the real Kingdom

A QUIET country road in Kerry might be a world away from the royal wedding celebrations in Buckingham Palace, but reminders of the fairytale nuptials have arrived in the other Kingdom.

Nora Hickey was driving about 12km from Killarney at 11.15am on Saturday when she spotted something colourful on the bushes.

“I stopped and couldn’t believe my eyes — 16 red, white and blue balloons, with 23 handwritten messages hanging from them,” she said.
