Girl, 9, praised for honesty in returning lost money

A WOMAN has spoken of the honesty and decency of a child and a shop’s staff in returning a €20 note, lost accidentally.

Eileen Meade didn’t know she lost the money until shopkeeper Jim Nagle handed it to her a week later.

The money was found on the floor of EuroSpar in Bruff by nine-year-old Caroline Barron, who had been buying sweets.
