This new form of fury — a condition that afflicts three quarters of women — is brought on by the hazards of high street shopping.

Although its symptoms are no different to more mainstream spleen — namely anger, frustration and disappointment — it has nonetheless earned itself a special label because of the retail arena in which it takes place.
