Debt boots tycoon off global rich list

SEÁN QUINN’S failure to pay off €2.88 billion to Anglo Irish Bank ultimately ousted him from the global rich list.

The massive debt has been shackled to the 64-year-old since a complex but doomed share deal with the lender shattered.

The tycoon’s estimated wealth was near €5bn in 2008 when Anglo’s shares nosedived.
