Martin seeks ban on corporate donations

AN effective ban on corporate donations to political parties was outlined by Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin last night.

In a bid to try and out manoeuvre the new Government on reform, Mr Martin called for business donations over €100 to be declared within 14 days.

Mr Martin also wants a constitutional amendment later in the year to allow the introduction of a more comprehensive ban on such donations.
