And in an historic move it believes mirrors the zeitgeist, the GAA said it is “pleased to have been asked to receive” Queen Elizabeth at its headquarters when she arrives on a state visit next month.

It has been confirmed that the queen will commence a four-day visit on Tuesday, May 17, taking in Dublin, Kildare, Cashel and Cork.
