Clarification

An article headlined “Hill Walking Festival to kick off” and relating to the forthcoming Millstreet Walking Festival which appeared in the County News supplement of the Irish Examiner on April 6 stated that a walk on Saturday, April 9, included The Stookeen Ridge.

The landowners have asked that it be clarified that the Stookeen Ridge and Gortavehy lake area in Millstreet is private property and is not open to the general public and does not comprise a venue for the proposed Millstreet Walking Festival.
