Buble says ‘I do’ as Brian and Delta say ‘we don’t’

FEMALE fans of Canadian crooner Michael Buble will have to be content with admiring him from afar now that the handsome singer is a married man. Neither will it be much consolation to them that Westlife’s Brian McFadden is back on the market.

The ending of McFadden’s relationship with Australian pop princess Delta Goodrem was announced by the former Westlife singer’s publicist. More than three years after getting engaged, the pair released a statement explaining why they are splitting up.

“Delta Goodrem and Brian McFadden regret- fully announce that they are no longer engaged, and after much consideration, have mutually decided to end their relationship,” their joint statement read. “This decision has been made with a lot of soul searching from both parties with the realisation that they have grown apart.”

McFadden and Goodrem were arguably Australia’s most high- profile pop music couple. They wrote a number of hit songs together but their respective careers took them in different directions. Goodrem has spent much of 2011 at her home in Los Angeles recording her fourth album, while McFadden, 30, has courted controversy in Sydney with a cluster of boorish incidents this year. He is also a judge on Australia’s Got Talent.

Brian, who has two daughters with ex-wife Kerry Katona, expressed his emotions on his Twitter page.

He wrote: “I love Delta and always will. She is one of God’s living angels. I thank her for giving me the best years of my life. Please give us time x”.

These are happier times though for Buble, who married his girlfriend of two years, Argentinean comic actress Luisana Lopilato, in a civil ceremony in Buenos Aires.

The bride, 23, wore a purple pleated mini dress with sheer tulle trim and was stunning on the arm of her 35-year-old groom. He was equally dapper in a dark grey suit and silver tie.

Buble and Lopilato kissed for the cameras and posed for fans after the wedding, and Lopilato tossed a bouquet of purple orchids into the crowd.

But the celebrating is just beginning for the pair, as they plan to hold a bigger ceremony this weekend with 300 guests at a mansion outside of Buenos Aires.

They confirmed that they are having two weddings so both their families can attend.

“We are doing one in Argentina and that’s for her close family, and then we are doing one in Vancouver,” said Michael.
