Gardaí treat woman’s death as suspicious

A POST-MORTEM examination will be carried out this morning on the body of a woman found washed up on a beach in Co Clare early yesterday.

Gardaí are treating the death as suspicious.

It is believed the partially clothed body is that of Deirdre McCarthy, aged 43, from Ballyvaughan. She had been reported missing on Monday last.
