Contentious plans for €40m retail park on hold
Michael Lynch Ltd had lodged plans in December last for the project on the Limerick Road in Clare’s county town that will provide 180-200 jobs when operational and 300 jobs during the construction phase.
A previous plan by the company for a retail development at the same location was turned down by An Bord Pleanála in October 2006 after local residents appealed a council decision to grant planning.
