Gormley blasts Labour and FG spats

BICKERING between the two main opposition parties is damaging Labour in the eyes of the electorate, Green Party leader John Gormley claimed yesterday.

Mr Gormley said the “acrimonious exchanges” between Labour and Fine Gael on RTÉ’s Monday night leaders’ debate were “beginning to impinge on the mindset” of voters.

“They are beginning to wonder how in the name of God are these two guys going to actually provide stable government, and that seems to be working more in favour of Fine Gael than Labour at the moment who are perhaps getting a bit worried,” Mr Gormley said.
