Labour plans tax-back scheme for unemployed

UP TO 60,000 training and education places for new job opportunities are planned by the Labour Party, which include giving the unemployed further allowances and more taxback.

Labour also suggested that voters on the doorsteps were getting nervous about the potential of Fine Gael becoming a majority party in government as signalled in recent polls.

Rounding on the outgoing government’s jobs record, Labour yesterday proposed an employment strategy which would cost €155 million to get people off the dole and into work.
