Fianna Fáil denies using Desmond plan

FIANNA FÁIL has insisted its proposals on political reform did not draw from those put forward by businessman Dermot Desmond — despite both plans matching on many issues.

Mr Desmond circulated a detailed plan to leading business and political figures on February 1 with many suggestions which were mirrored in Fianna Fáil’s election manifesto launched last Monday.
