Under pressure Martin agrees to relinquish €88k severance deal

FIANNA Fáil leader Micheál Martin has bowed to pressure and agreed to relinquish his €88,000 ministerial severance package if re-elected.

He has also ordered any other Fianna Fáil minister to do likewise if they return to the Dáil after the election.

He took the decision after several days of criticism, but denied that he had “flip-flopped” on the issue.
