A MAJOR international air accident investigation is underway to establish why an aircraft crashed in heavy fog on its third landing attempt at Cork Airport yesterday, killing six of the 12 passengers on board.

Two people emerged from the wreckage of the Manx2 commuter flight which crashed on the main runway at Cork Airport at 9.52am, with four passengers seriously injured.
