Kenny gets mixed marks on voter empathy

FINE GAEL leader Enda Kenny scored top marks when it came to issues affecting ordinary voters on the need to change government.

He used several anecdotes of ordinary citizens facing hardship.

Issues that featured strongly and gained the audience’s attention and claps included pledges to reform government, ministers’ pay, reduction of bureaucratic obstacles for getting welfare payments, and the need to curb emigration.
