House repossessions rise by 10%

THE number of repossession orders for properties rose by 10% last year over the 2009 figure.

There were 327 High Court repossession orders granted last year with a further 306 in the country’s circuit courts, according to statistics released by the courts service.

In the High Court yesterday, Judge Brian McGovern granted lenders a further 13 repossession orders.
