Two men die in weekend car crashes

GARDAÍ across the country are investigating three single-vehicle car accidents — two of which claimed the lives of young men.

In north Cork 19-year-old Rory O’Connor from Banteer lost his life when the car he was driving left the road on the N72 Mallow to Killarney Road at Ballymacquirke.

The accident occurred at about 6am and the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
